Here comes at Kami-Arts the worldwide license of the iconic manga Hajime No Ippo
Ready to rumble ! After Megalobox, our first license acquired in May 2019, we are pleased to announce this new license, for which we have obtained worldwide rights.
We are big fans of Hajime No Ippo, and unfortunately nothing was really done until now in terms of merchandising.
Based on this observation, we went to the rights holders with a proposal. Our will, our passion and our creativity were decisive in obtaining this license.
Victory! We left with our heads full of big projects for this license, which we know is eagerly awaited. The next round will follow.
A few words about Hajime No Ippo
Ippo is the work of mangaka George Morikawa, published since October 1982. An animated adaptation was released in June 2000, followed by a film in 2003.
The story tells the journey of a young boxer, Ippo Makunouchi, in the world of professional boxing. From his timid beginnings to his rise to the top of the ring.
He discovers this sport a little by chance, thanks to the intervention of the boxer Mamoru Takamura. Witnessing the brutality Ippo suffered, inflicted by his classmates, he rescues the young man and takes him to his boxing club to treat him. At the club, Ippo discovers boxing as an outlet to let off steam. A passion for the sport ensues and Ippo becomes a professional boxer.
